At 10:00 12 members of Taunton Photography Group (plus a couple of partners and dogs) met at the car park just past Haytor to receive a short briefing from Trip Leader, Richard Martin, before making our way across the moor to Emsworthy Mire where we enjoyed a couple of hours photographing the bluebells and the iconic red roofed barn.

Then we went to Hound Tor for a picnic lunch before spending time photographing the rocky outcrops, local wildlife and other subjects.

Our disappointment at finding the coffee wagon at Hound Tor closed was somewhat soothed by a lovely Cream Tea at Ullacombe Farm Shop on the way home.

Everybody agreed what a wonderful day had been had with plenty of laughs and sharing of knowledge.
