Haddon Hill macro shoot

Richard Martin led an insect macro session on 9th June at Haddon Hill, Exmoor. Haddon Hill is above Wimbleball lake, which should have been the ideal venue for photographing heath fritillary, green streak, other butterflies and all types of insects. It also has a good mix of gorse, bracken and woodland not to mention the occasional family of Exmoor ponies wandering

At 10:00 12 members of Taunton Photography Group (plus a couple of partners and dogs) met at the car park just past Haytor to receive a short briefing from Trip Leader, Richard Martin, before making our way across the moor to Emsworthy Mire where we enjoyed a couple of hours photographing the bluebells and the iconic red roofed barn. Several members took up the challenge of our Saturday trip to Chard Reservoir. As is often the case with nature, the birds were elusive or keeping their distance. Closing date for Creative Expression external critique

The next external Judges Critique is on the 30th March. The theme is: Creative Expression and it’s for digital images only, not prints. As ever there is also the Open Category where you can submit images that do not adhere to the module’s theme.
Just a reminder that the closing date for entries is this Monday, the 9th March.
